This is our new trip itinerary. (updated November 9th.)

Riding times are based on a 18 kph average and do not include rest stops. Nothing is carved in stone however.

Day 1 (November 14th) Catch 7:00 am flight from Vancouver to Cancun arriving in Cancun at 5:08 pm. Meet up with Ryan and Jen. Ride our first 20 kilometers in the dark or hire a van to take us to the campground near Cancun called Acamaya Reef Cabañas R.V. Park.

Day 2 (November 15th) Ride for 9 hours (130 km.) to Tulum.

Day 3 (November 16th) Ride from Tulum 97 km. to Felipe Carrillo Puerto (this should take roughly 5 .5 hours).I don't think there is any camping near Felipe Carrillo Puerto so we may need to find a cheap hotel or camp stealthily in the forest somewhere as it is way off the beach.

Day 4 (November 17th) Ride from Felipe Carrillo Puerto to Bacalar, just north of the Belize border (this should take us about 9 hours).Camp over night in Bacalar, Mexico

Day 5 (November 18th) Ride from Bacalar, Mexico to Corozal, Belize (3 or four hours of riding) and catch the last ferry of the day to San Pedro on Ambergris Caye at 3:00 pm (there are only two sailings per day for this route 7:00 am and 3:00 pm). We will arrive in San Pedro at 4:45 pm. Camp in San Pedro.

Day 6 (November 19th) Hang out in San Pedro and party.

Day 7 (November 20st) Hang out in San Pedro and scuba dive and then party.

Day 8 (November 21nd) Take the water taxi to Caye Caulker (there are 7 sailings per day for this route).Hang out in Caye Caulker and party

Day 9 (November 22rd) Hang out in Caye Caulker and party

Day 10 (November 23th) Hang out in Caye Caulker and party

Day 11 (November 24th) Take the morning water taxi back to San Pedro, Say good by to Jen and Ryan and then catch the 3:00 pm water taxi to Corozal and then try to get to the border before it closes and then ride to Bacalar, Mexico Stay the night in Bacalar, Mexico.

Day 12 (November 25th) Get an early start and ride from Bacalar, Mexico 159 km. to Felipe Carrillo Puerto (this should take us about 9 hours).

Stay in Felipe Carrillo Puerto

Day 13 (November 26th) Ride from Felipe Carrillo Puerto 161 km. to Playa del Carmen (this should take us about 9 hours).

Camp in Playa del Carmen

Day 14 (November 27th) Take the ferry from Playa del Carmen to Cozumel and spend the day touring the island. Return to Playa del Carmen at the end of the day and camp in Playa del Carmen again.

Day 15 (November 28th) Ride 4 hours from Playa del Carmen 68 km. to Cancun and Catch flight to Edmonton at 6:00 pm
