After a good nights sleep at the hostel, free breakfast consisting of pancakes and cornflakes, washing our dishes and a quick agua stop at the 7-11, we headed out for Felipe Carillo Puerto around 9 am. Good day for riding with overcast skies and cooler temperatures. Highlight of the day was the tarantula that nearly took Kerry`s life. The biggest spider I have ever seen that was busy crossing the highway minding his own business until Kerry provoked it. The picture doesn`t show but it was about the size of an adults hand!! Pulled into FCP around 3, found a hotel, and a quick shower later, we were off to sample the Mexican cuisine. The evening was spent wandering the traditional Mexican town and enjoying some well deserved cervezas. We turned in early as the next day had us riding for 114kms.
